Support Local Business in March!

I’m pasting in an entire release I got from Jackie Flanagan over at the boutique Nana on U Street announcing the birthdays of several great local stores. I hope everyone will consider how important it is to build local relationships by buying locally. Small shops and the creative minds who own them are a big part of what’s making Washington’s art & fashion scene take off….

Beating most small business odds, several businesses in the Logan Circle/U Street business community are celebrating their five-year anniversaries in March.

During the month of March, Logan Hardware, Nana, and Pulp are holding raffles, giving away prizes, offering discounts, and serving up a variety of promotions to celebrate the occasion. The owners and staff invite everyone to stop by throughout the month for a variety of surprises while supporting these special local businesses.

On Saturday, March 29th Logan Hardware, Nana, and Pulp will hold simultaneous events in all of their locations. Highlights will include discounts, food and much more. Spring is the perfect time to start all your DIY projects, clean out and spruce up your wardrobes, and find great cards and gifts for old friends.

In 2003, Logan Hardware, Nana, Boundless Yoga, Pop, and Pulp opened their doors to overwhelming community support.

So much so, that several of these businesses and others born in the Logan Circle/U Street communities have expanded to other neighborhoods and cities. Logan Hardware has sprouted four more locations, the newest to open in June at 5th & K St. NW, Pulp has opened a sister store in Provincetown, MA and Pop expanded to Brooklyn, NY.
